Who this covers

This policy is for Meridian, a menstrual-cycle tracker that runs on your Android phone. It explains how the app handles information you enter.

Nothing leaves the phone

Meridian does not create an account, does not include ads or analytics, and does not request internet permission. Cycle logs, settings, and forecasts are stored only in this app’s private storage on your device. The developer never receives your health data, because the app has no way to send it.

What stays on the device

If you use the app you may store: period start and end dates; optional notes; taps for sex, libido, tension, anxiety, anger, and hot flashes; cycle-length preferences; notification preferences; and home-screen goals. Forecasts are computed on the device from those logs. Android may also keep an app notification permission choice.

Permissions

Notifications are optional and used only for the cycle reminders you turn on. Boot completed is used so those reminders can be rescheduled after a restart. The app does not use location, contacts, camera, microphone, Health Connect, or advertising identifiers.

Sharing, selling, and backups

Meridian does not share, sell, or upload user data. Android backup for this app is turned off, so cycle logs are not copied to Google Drive through Auto Backup. Uninstalling the app deletes the local database. You can also wipe logs from Settings with Erase all data.

Children

Meridian is not directed at children. It is intended for adults. Do not use it to log someone else’s cycle without their knowledge.

Not medical care

Meridian is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Forecasts are estimates. They are not contraception and not a fertility treatment.
